Pay- £12.90 per hour

We are looking for a dedicated and patient member of staff to work with us in a local primary school to support a pupil who has AHD and displays signs of challenging behaviour. The hours in the day are at specific times to ensure that the pupil can get the correct support so it is vital that if you are going this role, you will be able to work during the hours stated at the top of the advert.

Someone who has had either professional or personal experience with challenging behaviour would excel at the role and enable you to hit the ground running. Due to the needs of the pupil we will require consistency in the role so please only apply if you can ensure consistency.

Responsibilities of a Behavioural Support Assistant are:

  • Ensuring pupil is engaged and comfortable during lessons
  • Assist in personal care tasks as an when if needed
  • To plan and implement appropriate techniques to deal with challenging behaviour with pupil when appropriate.
  • To take part in relevant training and courses as required.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) (We can assist your application)
  • Has relevant experience either personal or professional to the SEN sector.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
