Job Title: Brickwork and Multi Skills Lecturer

Salary: £27,425 - £40,369 per annum

Contract: Full time, permanent

Location: Cambridge

 

Teaching Personnel are an approved provider for a leading FE College located in Cambridge, who are currently looking for a Brickwork and Multi Skills Lecturer to join their Construction department located at the Huntingdon campus. This exciting role will involve the design and delivery of the Multi-skills and Bricklaying courses to a wide range of learners, in both practical and theoretical settings. The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the department, providing tutorial support for learners and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the post.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning to a timetable that may include evening, Saturday and summer periods
  • Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes, and to learners with a range of ages and abilities.
  • Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers and electronic resources.
  • Prepare Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
  • Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the area.

 

Requirements:

  • A Minimum of Level 3 within the Construction industry is required. (Ideally Brickwork/Bricklaying).
  • Hold a Teaching Qualification, i.e, PGCE, Cert Ed, PTLLS or equivalent.
  • Prior experience teaching Brickwork or Multi Skills up to Level 3. (Whether in Education or on site with apprentices).
  • Have minimum C in both Maths and English.
