Crete education are currently recruiting for an SEN school based in Streatham. They are a school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties in addition to complex needs including Anxiety, ASD, ADHD, Toxic childhood stress, attachment difficulties and developmental trauma or delay. They are a growing SEMH School that are passionate about helping children to succeed despite their previous challenges.

The successful candidate will have a desire to make a difference and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN. The role will include working with pupils who are on one of the school’s pathways to employment placements. This is an offsite placement for pupils in years 10 to 14 who’s needs are best met within the community. It is a full-time placement that is designed according to the specific needs of each pupil, as defined by their EHCP. All pathways aim to develop the individuals independent living and employability skills maximising their opportunity to gain employment.

  • Supporting teachers in the planning, delivery, and assessment of dynamic, child centred learning.
  • Delivering lessons and interventions
  • Working across EYFS - KS5
  • ASAP start on a permanent basis as soon as possible
Person Specification – Community Based SEN HLTA - Behaviour Mentor - Streatham
  • HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant certificate is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with children who have autism (ASD)
  • A strong, confident individual who can work remotely on a 1:1 basis
  • Able to engage well with pupils and staff
  • Smartly presented and with excellent time management skills
