Are you a final year PGCE student looking to gain exposure in schools upon finishing your degree? Teaching Personnel is working with schools in the West Midlands and is actively recruiting for TA and HLTA roles in Wolverhampton for the remainder of this academic year.

*This is a great opportunity for final year students to find work and gain experience in preparation for the new academic year in September*

Key responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in delivering educational programmes and lessons
  • Provide support to students with their learning activities and assignments
  • Supervise students during class and in other educational settings
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
  • Engage with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with their personal and social development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure effective classroom management
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
  • Deliver intervention
  • Confidence to deliver whole class teaching when required

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of individual student needs
  • Empathetic and caring nature
  • Prior experience teaching
  • PGCE degree in-view for 2024
  • Relevant knowledge of a wide range of teaching methods
  • Adaptability is key for students
