As a Geography Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5) Geography, covering topics from physical geography to human and environmental issues
  • Inspire Curiosity: Encourage students to explore global, environmental, and societal challenges, fostering an understanding of their place within a diverse world
  • Promote Critical Thinking: Guide students to develop analytical skills by interpreting data, maps, and case studies, preparing them for exams and real-world understanding
  • Utilize Modern Resources: Incorporate up-to-date resources and technologies, such as GIS, to enhance student learning and engagement
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create an inclusive classroom where students feel supported and motivated to achieve their best
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification in Geography
  • Experience: Proven track record of teaching Geography at the secondary level, with a solid understanding of the UK Geography curriculum
  • Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of both physical and human geography, along with a passion for current global issues
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in different school environments and connect with a diverse range of students
