Position: Full-Time, starting September
Pay: £21,020 per annum, paid 52 weeks per year

Role Overview

As a Secondary Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our pupils with their educational and personal development. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will provide individualized support to ensure each student can achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with autism in their day-to-day learning activities
• Assisting teachers in the delivery of tailored educational plans
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Encouraging social interaction and developing communication skills
• Monitoring and recording student progress
• Providing emotional and behavioural support when needed
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall success of the school

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
• A compassionate and patient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of pupils with autism
• Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
