Performing Arts and Dance Teacher required for a Secondary School in Bedford

  • Job Type: Full-time & long-term contract
  • Pay: £130 - £150+ (flexible depending on travel)
  • Location: Bedford
  • Start: ASAP - ongoing flexible and contract work available

What would be your responsibilities?

✓ Covering Drama, Dance and PE lessons ideally across KS3 and KS4
✓ Supervising and managing the behaviour of students during lessons.
✓ Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans to maintain continuity in learning.
✓ Providing support to students in their learning activities.
✓ Managing classroom resources and ensuring a safe learning environment.
✓ Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues arising during the day.

The ideal Educator:

  • QTS or PGCE Qualification specialising in Dance, Drama, Performing Arts or PE 
  • Performing Arts Teacher with at least 1 years experience teaching up to KS4
  • Highly knowledgeable in GCSE Dance, Drama or PA curriculum and doesnt mind covering PE
  • Be passionate about teaching any of the above subjects and promoting learning in for excellent results
  • Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
