We are currently seeking tutors to work proactively with young people who have faced challenges in their education journey and require additional support. These individuals may be out of education due to various reasons, including:

  • New arrivals to the area
  • Recent placement in Looked After Care (LAC)
  • Recently diagnosed with Special Educational Needs (SEN) requiring specialised provision

As a tutor, your role would involve creating tailored tuition programs delivered on a 1:1 or small group basis. There is a high demand for tutors who can support primary-aged students, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and phonics. These young learners typically require a minimum of 10 hours of tuition per week.

Tuition sessions would likely take place in the student's home or at a mutually agreed public venue, such as a library.

The ideal tutor would possess:

  • A Teaching Qualification or tutoring experience
  • Experience working one-to-one with Primary Aged pupils
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • A calm and patient demeanor

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
