Psychology Graduate - Behaviour Support Assistant

Hours: 8:30-15:30pm or 08:30-16:30pm (Extra hours will be paid accordingly)

Pay: £83-95 a day, depending on experience

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, part time positions considered

 

We are currently looking for fantastic Psychology Graduates for our Behaviour Support Assistant positions within Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health specialist settings across Surrey. We work with a number of Primary and Secondary schools dedicated to supporting children with additional needs including ASC, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression and MLD. The schools provide a safe and structured learning environment that enables all children and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes.

 

The successful applicant would:

-       Have some knowledge on how to support pupils with SEN or SEMH needs

-       Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with the pupils

-       Be able to manage challenging behaviour effectively

-       Be resilient in their attitude and approach

-       Liaise with other staff to ensure the pupil can access the learning and stay happy in school

-       Be able to communicate effectively with the pupil they are providing support to

 

Experience is not necessary although the applicant must possess the correct qualities to work with children and young people in education. You will be expected to work 1:1 or with small groups when needed. Please note, we do not offer visa sponsorships.
