Job Title: Public Services Lecturer

Salary: £27,425 - £40359 per annum

Contract: Full time, permanent

Location: Cambridge

 

Teaching Personnel are an approved provider for a leading Further Education College located in the Cambridge area. They have 2 campuses, 1 located in central Cambridge, the other in Huntingdon. The Sport and Publib Services Department, are looking to recruit a lecturer to teach across a varied and interesting range of programmes. The main responsibility of this role will be to provide high quality teaching and learning and access to learning, in addition to undertaking associated tutorial duties. The ideal candidate will need to have a current knowledge of the fitness or services industry, and be willing to contribute to all aspects of the department, from marketing and recruitment to the courses, as well as delivery and progression.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning to a timetable that may include evening, Saturday and summer periods.
  • Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes and levels.
  • Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
  • Provide and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers, online resources and upkeep of the VLE.
  • Prepare electronic Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
  • Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the faculty including up to date use of vital and EBS.

 

Requirements:

  • A recognised UK Teaching Qualification, i.e, PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree within the subject.
  • Prior experience within the Uniformed Services.
  • Previous experience teaching/training Uniformed/Public Services up to Level 3. (Sport would also be considered).
