A rapidly improving mixed comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Bolton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join their thriving staff team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, committed to providing a high-quality education for students aged 11-18.

The successful candidate will be a key part of the Science department, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The school has a strong focus on continuous professional development, offering excellent career progression and a supportive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
  • Contribute to the wider Science department and the school's extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment that promotes student progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4. Experience at KS5 is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for Science and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues across the school.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and the ethos of a fast-improving school.
