Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have a strong background in providing personalised support to children with additional needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Position: 1:1 Support Specialist

Location: (BB4 Rossendale) 

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

Start Date: May 2024

Pay rate: £12.90 - £14 per hour (AWR will come into effect after 12 working weeks)

The school are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Support Specialist to work closely with a pupil with SEMH needs, providing tailored assistance and ensuring their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities: As a 1:1 Support Specialist, you will:

  • Build a strong rapport with the pupil and create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to help the student manage their SEMH needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning strategies.
  • Assist with academic tasks, ensuring the student's educational goals are met.
  • Support with personal care,

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Level 2 qualification or above.
