We are working alongside an excellent, high performing secondary school in The Vale of Glamorgan to find a new Geography Specialist Teacher. The school are looking for a teacher who is confident with KS3, KS4 and KS5 classes, as their timetable is to include all three.

 

Role Details:

As a colleague in the curriculum area of Humanities, you will have an exciting opportunity to develop teaching and learning and contribute to an experienced, successful, and forward-thinking area of the school.

This is a Full-Time role as a Teacher of Geography (with the option to discuss part time hours/job sharing). You will be responsible for planning, preparing, delivering, and monitoring progress for students in KS3, KS4 and KS5, including exam groups. This post gives the successful candidate the opportunity to broaden their skills and an opportunity to work closely with excellent leaders across the school.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have the skills to teach Geography confidently to A Level Standard.
  • QTS/PGCE in Secondary Geography, or other subjects with Geography Teaching experience.
  • Confidence managing behaviour and pupil progress in a classroom environment.
  • Knowledge of the up-to-date subject curriculum in Wales in Geography.
  • Geograpgy/Humanities Teaching experience and/or an excellent understanding of the subject to a teachable level.
