A Teaching Assistant is needed for an outstanding pupil referral unit (PRU) in North London for students with SEMH.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students aged 11-19 who are accessing support through CAMHS.

This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links.

Being a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will become a part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources.

Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant may include:

  • Working with and supporting students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMHD).
  • Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control.
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.
  • Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

To be a Teaching Assistant you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • A clear and up-to-date DBS.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • A patient and 'can-do' attitude.
