An SEN School in Skelmersdale is looking for an additional passenger assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child. You will arrive at the school in Skelmersdale in the morning, to get in the taxi. Then undertake the journey, with the driver, collecting the student, before returning to school and the same applies in the afternoon. The role is due to start as soon as possible, on an ongoing basis, with a view to become long-term. You will need prior experience supporting children with special educational needs and be confident in appropriately supporting challenging behaviour.

The role is 5 days per week and you will be supporting a pupil aged between 4-11 years old. The role is part-time: Monday – Friday, 7:30am-9:00am and 3:15pm – 4:30pm, apart from a Wednesday which would be 7:30am-9:00am and 1:30pm-2:45pm. Please note, you are not expected to drive, only to accompany the students and ensure they are safe, supported and appropriately behaved.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
