1:1 Primary SEN TA- Autism Support- (Bury) (BL9)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant who is experienced working with Autism, to work in a Primary School located in the BL9 area of Bury. The role is to start from Monday 27th of September and will be initially until October half-term with a strong possibility of being extended for the foreseeable. The role will be working 1:1 with an ASC pupil in year 3, so experience with Autism is essential.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with autism, and/or associated learning disabilities
  • Confidence supporting children academically and managing challenging behaviours associated with autism
  • Collaboration in class and outdoors through supporting both the class teacher and other SEN TAs in class
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development within the school
  • Full-time availability Monday to Friday 8:30-4:00
  • Dedicated and consistent as building and maintaining positive relationships is vital.  
  • An understanding approach to those who suffer from Autism.  
  • A warm and friendly approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
