This Learning Support Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity for an Aspiring School Counsellor to gain valuable experience providing critical educational and mental health support for students with a primary diagnosis of Autism.

This specialist Autistic Provision Specialist School are looking for someone with a graduate background in Psychology (criminology and sociology also accepted) to join their learning support team. This SEN Learning Support Assistant role is based on holistic, therapeutic and Restorative practices designed to meet the needs of students with complex needs aged 3-16. CAN you demonstrate the value of an education to a child? Restorative Practice is a way of finding behaviour we want to promote, and supporting it to blossom.

Alongside their primary diagnosis of Autism, many of the students will have a secondary diagnosis of a mental health need, such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Many students will have experienced trauma's at home, from drug abuse, physical abuse, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Aspiring School Counsellor to gain valuable experience working alongside Educational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, and more.
