A school in Maidenhead are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work alongside pupils with Autism aged 5-15.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a current Teaching Assistant who is looking for a new and rewarding challenge or for someone already experienced and specialises in Autism.

The school in Southwark aims to give students with a range of complex needs linked to their autism diagnosis the best individual and unique education that is best fit for the student. This job would also suit a recent graduate in Education or Psychology looking to work in the education sector with previous experience working with children.

The role of the ASD Teaching Assistant will allow opportunities to work in a variety of roles within the position including support the main class teacher, mentor and guide students with autism to ensure they have the skills required to enjoy socialising and living independent lives, assist in adapting resources to be appropriate for the needs of the students. The ASD Teaching Assistant should be resilient, empathetic and hard working with an open minded attitude to try new things to support these young people.
