EXPERIENCED BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT ASSISTANT REQUIRED

  • SEMH specialist provision in South Croydon
  • Full-time role, starting ASAP
  • Temp-perm position

A multi-site SEMH provision based in Croydon is looking to recruit some experienced and talented Behaviour Support Assistants to work in the Secondary Department. 

As a Behaviour Support Assistant at this school, you will be offered fantastic training opportunities and be working alongside a team of experienced educators. It is a great opportunity for someone who is thinking about qualifying as a Teacher- you will be expected to deliver and support across all subjects of the curriculum on a 1:1 or small nurture group basis.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience working in an SEMH provision or with students with behavioural challenges and mental health difficulties 
  • A good knowledge, understanding and background of working with young adolescents with SEMH needs - psychology, child development and criminology degrees desirable
  • A good knowledge of the curriculum and be confident delivering some lessons 
  • Be happy to work from Year 7 upwards 
  • Team Teach and Thrive Practitioner qualifications desirable

To be considered for the role, you must also be able to provide: 

  • Excellent references 
  • 2 proofs of address dated within 30 days 
  • A UK passport or Right to Work in the UK/Visa
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate (on the update service) - we can help with this 
  • A Safeguarding certificate, or be happy to complete our free Level 2 online course
