An exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate in helping young pupils with their attainment has become available at a secondary school in Bury.

One of our partnering secondary schools in Bury are looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic individual to join their support department. The role will be supporting children and young people with additional learning needs who can show signs of challenging behaviour.

  • Full time Behaviour Support Assistant.
  • To start in January 2022.
  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Must have some form of experience with children and young people or skills that are transferrable to work within the education sector.
  • Earn up to £1450 per month.

This Behaviour Support role is the ideal opportunity to gain further experience working within a secondary school and enhance your knowledge of pupils with challenging behaviour. You will be expected to assist class teachers to positively impact the learning and development of students through a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Leading small group sessions to pupils not making expected progress.
  • Supporting the learning of pupils with SEN or those with challenging behaviour.
  • Working 1:1 with pupils who struggle to engage within the classroom.

Our client school is in Bury and is easily accessible via the M62 and A56 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Prestwich, Whitefield and Bolton. Alternatively, for candidates who do not have their own vehicle, our client school is accessible via public transport from neighbouring areas.
