Can you connect with children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities? Have a patient and compassionate nature towards challenging behaviour? Teaching Personnel have current opportunities for primary, seconday and post 16 SEN Teaching Assistants in Leeds and surrounding area. As a specialist TA you will be required to fill short term and day to day roles. Opportunities for long term positions for the right candidate.

We are looking for enthusiastic and considerate teaching assistants who are experienced or looking to work with SEND pupils. Candidates should be dedicated to helping children strive and progress during their time in education. The right teaching assistant will pose the ability to work under direction and alongside the class teacher.

As a SEN TA You will:

  • Endeavour to provide pupils with the best educational support and guidance
  • Be able to adjust you teaching style to suit the pupil or pupils you’re assisting
  • Build string working relationships with pupils and staff
  • Confident dealing with challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner
  • Competent to work 1:1, with small groups, range of abilities and ages.
  • Confident with Personal Care
