An exciting opportunity to teach Biology up to KS4 at a ‘Good’ secondary school where the planning and preparation of the curriculum is completed collaboratively.
Our client school is located in Oldham, a short drive from the town centre as well as being close to a local Metrolink tram stop and opened in 2006 after substantial redevelopment and two local secondary schools merging together. With fewer than 700 students currently enrolled, this Ofsted rated ‘Good’ secondary academy is smaller than average and has a positive Progress 8 score that is in line with the national average.
The successful candidate will be joining a successful and pro-active Science department which allows teachers to teach within their specialism at GCSE level, whilst teaching all three disciplines of Science to KS3. The department use timetabled and dedicated time to plan and prepare lessons collaboratively, ensuring high quality lessons are delivered throughout the department.
