Would you like the opportunity to gain valuable experience managing a classroom as an unqualified teacher?

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of schools in Oldham who are currently looking to recruit confident and supportive graduates who are considering a career in secondary teaching . As an unqualified teacher, you will cover lessons when teachers are absent on a day to day and short-term basis to build up your experience within the classroom (longer term positions are also available). You must be flexible and willing to work in different schools across Oldham.

This position is due to start from April and you will cover short term teacher sickness, internal training days and time away for planning and marking. All work is pre-set and you will be expected to deliver engaging lessons and ensure learning still takes place when the teacher is absent.

Main points about the role:

• Flexible, temporary work around your availability e.g. 2 - 5 days a week
• Term time only
• Weekly pay earning between £70-£100 per day
• Perfect chance to gain classroom and behaviour management experience if considering secondary teaching /teacher training
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable for the role

Role and Responsibilities of the Unqualified Teacher role:

• Managing full classes when teachers of absent
• Manage classroom behaviour
• Delivering pre-set work from the school to a class of students and ensuring they continue to learn
• Get a feel of what it would be like to be a secondary school teacher, covering a range of KS3 and KS4 lessons (no subject knowledge required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
