Role: Design Technology Technician

Location: Darlington

Start date: 5th September 2022

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Design Technology Technician to join one of our client secondary schools in Darlington for the upcoming new academic year.

This role involves providing support to the school's Technology department, covrering the subject areas of Design TechnologyFood Technology and Engineering. You will be required to coordinate practical resourcessecure an environment in which pupils can safely pursue practical work, and provide assistance and advice. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a workshop, experience maintaining equipment and a keen interest in working with young people.

  • Competitve daily rates of pay (£80-£95 a day depending on experience)

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience working in a Design Technology workshop preferred
  • Knowledge of machinery use and routine maintenance essential
  • Educated to degree-level in a Design Technology subject or other relevant qualification/experience
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS (Child Workforce Only)
