Secondary DT Teachers required in the York area

Full time/Part time/Day to Day Opportunities Available

The successful Design Technology Teacher should be experienced in teaching Resistant Materials, Graphics and Textiles as well as having a general knowledge of the whole Design Technology department.

Any teachers interested in this opportunity are required to:

• Hold a PGCE (11-16 or further education accepted)
• Be confident within their behaviour management skills and be able to adapt to different schools’ behaviour policies
• Have excellent subject knowledge
• Be able to teach Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 Design and Technology and Resistant Materials

Duties will include:

• Developing the character of the young people
• Being a positive role model for students
• Supporting inside and outside the classroom
• Safeguarding pupils and protecting their well-being
• Having an adaptable working attitude
