Early Years Practitioner - Croydon
At the Nursery, the aim is to create the best possible learning experience for children in a loving and friendly atmosphere as well as delivering outstanding and inspirational early year's provision. The Nursery are looking for talented early years practitioners who want to be part of this exciting new venture.
Your opportunity:
The nursery is open from 7.30am to 6.30pm for 51 weeks of the year. You will be expected to work 37.5 hours a week on a varied shift pattern as directed by the Senior Leadership Team. You will be entitled to 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays per annum. The nursery is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Your role will include:
To work to support the learning of children in the nursery, including individual, small and large groups as directed.
To work under the direction of the Principal and the nursery managers to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and the whole setting.
To work under the direction of the nursery managers setting up and developing learning opportunities in the indoor and outdoor environment.
To play a full part in the early years team including monitoring and assessing children's progress and reporting on their progress.
To monitor, assess and support children that have additional needs as required.
To attend staff CPD and meetings where appropriate

An engaging person who is able to interest, encourage and motivate children
A team worker, who is able to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities
In liaison with nursery managers, to support children's development in all aspects of the EYFS curriculum in the Nursery.
Developing effective practice and ensure high quality provision is provided for all children.
Supporting practitioners by monitoring and record children's progress and using information as a basis for planning and improving practice and provision. To work in partnership with parents and to value and utilise parent's contribution to support children's well-being, learning and development
