Teaching Personnel may have the ideal position for you in Newcastle starting this November!

One of our client schools are looking to add an experienced English Teacher to their department to cover a staff absence from after October Half-Term until at least Christmas 2021, with the potential to continue on for the entire academic year.

The Role

  • A full time position for a Fully Qualified Teacher looking for a long-term placement
  • Initially until Christmas, there is potential for the role to be extended and even made permanent
  • You will be required to teach English to secondary school pupils between the ages of 11-16 years (KS3 – KS4) - KS5 Literature or Language may be a possibility
  • Preparing and planning for lessons with marking required 
  • Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment
  • Pay between £120 - £180 per day for the first 12 weeks of the role (after 12 weeks: AWR rate, paid to the scale the school would pay at directly)

Requirements for the Role:

  • Must have QTS and experience teaching English Literature and Language to GCSE (A Level preferable but not essential)
  • Willingness to take on some intervention groups and booster sessions 
  • Strong behaviour management with experience working with SEN pupils a preference 
  • Will have excellent subject knowledge and a desire to provide the best education to pupils
  • Will be required to apply for a Child Workforce DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service
  • This role is suitable for NQT's
