Are you a passionate teacher or teaching assistant hoping to gain experience in a new setting? Do you have experience working with children on a 1:1 level? Teaching Personnel are seeking full-time KS1 and KS2 Literacy and Numeracy Tutors for a variety of schools across Warrington and surrounding areas.
Due to unfortunate recent circumstances regarding COVID-19 and UK National Lockdowns, many children have, unfortunately, fallen behind in their education. In response to this, the government have pledged GBP1bn worth of funding to schools to provide tuition to students who have fallen behind academically.
As a full-time Primary Literacy and Numeracy Tutor, you will be working closely (in-person) with students either 1:1 or in small groups. This may be for full days comprising of various 1-2-hour slots or morning and afternoon blocked sessions. You will additionally be responsible for completing tutor reports for your pupils on a weekly basis. This role will run for a period of 15-weeks with each group receiving an hour of tuition each week. Depending on experience, you could earn between £20 and £30 per hour.
Our schools are passionate about catering for a variety of pupils’ behavioural needs (including SEMH) so tutors must be of a sensitive disposition, with a knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
The Catch-Up Tutor Requirements:
• Experience in tutoring / education is essential (particularly experience working with KS1/2 pupils).
• Access to your own transport is essential, as pupils are based in different locations (predominantly schools, community centres, libraries and care homes).
• Qualified Teacher Status or a Degree in English/Maths is desirable.
• Experience working with students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) is also desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
