Graduate SEN TA
Required: Graduate Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting young people with special educational needs.
This secondary school in Stockport is looking to recruit a confident and experienced graduate who is keen to take on a Teaching Assistant role to start with them in September (5th September). This full-time support position is required for the remainder of the academic year in the first instance.
The successful graduate should be experienced (from a school setting, care environment or otherwise) in supporting young people with SEN. The graduate Teaching Assistant will report to the school’s SENCO and be allocated a specific cohort of students to support in and out of mainstream classes. The role of this graduate SEN Teaching Assistant will include general support of students with needs such as Autism, ADHD, and general behaviour management.
Intervention will also be a part of this SEN Teaching Assistant’s role supporting teachers in English and Humanities lessons with opportunity to support in Maths and other subjects. Any individuals with transferable skills of working with young people who have special educational needs (SEN) are encouraged to apply now for consideration. This role would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, youth worker with experience of supporting students in a school setting or a support worker who has worked with young people in the community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
