Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive, Secondary School in Oldham who are seeking to appoint a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join their fantastic team of colleagues and to assist to a number of students who are in need of additional 1-2-1 support.

This role would suit somebody who is an experienced Teaching Assistant and has experience dealing with SEN/SEMH and challenging behaviour in a secondary school. This position will be full time and on a temp-perm basis.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • To prepare and guide students through work set by the main class teacher
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Ensuring pupils feel safe and have access to support and resources they need to succeed
  • Supporting students who struggle with SEN/SEMH
  • Have knowledge and experience of special educational needs
  • Follow the safeguarding policy and reporting concerns
