Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced HLTA to work at a Secondary school in Rochdale. You will be working across KS3+4 providing support to the class teachers and undertaking intervention groups, both 1-2-1 and small groups of up to 4 students.

You will be required to lead small groups of pupils undertaking interventions to children with varying needs and must be confident working across all key stages. It is essential that you have previous experience differentiating work to suit all ability levels as this role will involve working with both lower ability groups as well as gifted and talented pupils.

The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until December 2021. This role is a temporary position but may be extended into the new year for the successful candidate. Salary is competitive for this role depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HLTA qualification or TA  qualification
  • The ability to deliver the National Curriculum across KS3+4
  • To develop positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Dealing with students who have SEN / SEMH / Behavioural difficulties

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of working as a HLTA or TA
  • An approachable personality with strong behaviour management
  • Hold a relevant HLTA or teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, B.Ed. or a BA Hons
  • Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
