My client is an SEND school in North Manchester judged outstanding by Ofsted.
The school caters for children and young people aged 4 to 19 years of age who are on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties.
They are looking for an ICT teacher to cover maternity leave until the end of this academic year. They would like someone to start w/c 19th October 2020 to allow for a smooth handover.
The successful candidate needs to be able to teach up to GCSE (iMedia) plus Functional Skills at secondary phase.
Deliver a range of computing topics at KS3 including e-safety, web development, programming (Scratch, Spheros & Python) to digital graphics. Having experience of the software package Serif would be an advantage.
Currently delivering 2 qualifications, Edexcel Functional Skills (Entry Level 2) and OCR Creative iMedia (Delivering the units Digital Graphics, Multi-Page Website and Photography). Having experience of the software package Serif would be an advantage.
Experience of teaching pupils with SEND conditions is important in this role.
