Role: KS1 Teacher

Location: Bishop Auckland

Teaching Personnel are working with a ‘GOOD’ primary school in the Bishop Auckland area who are looking for a new KS1 Teacher to join their school in the new academic year. In the most recent Ofsted report the school were given a ‘GOOD’ rating highlighting the overall ‘friendliness of the school’.

With a good reputation, this small school has a lot to offer with a supportive team and welcoming staff the head has worked hard to establish an ethos of high expectations amongst staff, pupils and parents as well as improving the teaching standard in school.

The position is full-time, and the school are happy to accept NQT’s for this role. The class is a regular sized class of 26 pupils currently. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum as well as an understanding of Phonics schemes.

Role requirements/responsibilities:

  • Qualified Teacher (NQTs are welcome to apply)
  • Experienced in KS1 with good understanding of the curriculum
  • Planning and delivering interventions to small groups
  • Good behaviour management
  • Holds a Child Only DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
