KS1 Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with Y2 pupil Easter 2021 approximate start date. This role is long term offering individual support with mainstream Primary School. Long term likely after half term start or Easter and will permanent possibility for the perfect candidate. .

Academics LTD working with a Rotherham based Primary School with a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. The role is to work on a 1:1 basis with an Y2 student & support additional learning needs, ensuring the pupil's stays engaged/focused.

Initially the post is to be Morning only but then is moving quickly to full School days as the relationship develops & the pupil transitions to a new setting. Term time only role, five days a week.

Experience of working with pupils with barriers to learning or pupils from a challenging background is essentially. We are looking for a proactive, caring, firm but fair Teaching Assistant with EBD experience or experience of LAC.

Ideal candidate needs to be able to work with the identified child supporting emotional & specific behavioural needs. Allowing the young pupil a safe learning environment to enable achievement, help pupil's access relevant curriculum, breaking down learning objectives, access, use resources available.

If you are supportive, caring & help promote respect, self-esteem in young learners then this role may be for you. We are looking for someone to reinforce an all-inclusive whole school ethos here whilst sensitively breaking down some barriers this pupil has to learning and school life. You will be required to motivate this child, clarify instructions, encourage & form a working partnership, which introduces school behaviour policies, offering the pupils structure in the school setting.
