MATERNITY POST

An Independent school located near Epsom requires a qualified teacher for maternity cover. The start date will be in January but potentially earlier and the suitable candidate MUST have Qualified Teacher Status and ideally experience teaching in Y4 or KS2.

The role will entail teaching core subjects to year 4 pupils and teaching boys games across some of the Primary age range. The successful applicant will be required to work 5 days per week with joint planning following the schools own curriculum.

The right candidate will need to be enthusiastic, inspiring, caring and keen to contribute to the continuing development of the School. This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working, experienced KS2 teacher to join their friendly and supportive teaching staff.

Founded in 1933, it is one of Surrey's leading independent preparatory schools, catering for 370 girls and boys aged 2 - 11 years and situated in 12 acres of beautiful countryside near Tadworth.

They have recently opened their 'Innovation Centre' which is fully equipped with rooms for the following:
• A STEM Innovations Studio using robotics, coding, programming and 3D printing
• An Interactive Languages Studio delivering a programme of Languages, Linguistics and Culture (with a green screen and virtual reality technology)
• A radical and exciting Maths Studio
• Music & Music Technology rooms which have the latest technology
• A Dance, Yoga & Drama Studio with a top-quality mirrored space for physical expression

The school is superbly resourced and equipped, and won a national award in 2018 AND 2019 for the best use of technology in any UK independent school.
Their Headmaster also won 'Independent School Head of the Year, 2010/11'.

The education they offer is built around their philosophy that 'every child has brilliance that is just waiting for us to find and develop it'.
The school can offer staff excellent pay and conditions, a very happy and collaborative working environment, and many opportunities for professional development.
