KS2 Intervention Primary Teacher- Tonge Moor (Bolton) (BL2)

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit an Intervention Teacher on behalf of a local primary school located in the Tonge Moor area of Bolton. This is on a part-time basis 3 days a week, starting in October working with pupils that are currently behind the national average.

Following the school closures over the past couple of years and the loss of learning, our client school has identified pupils that require additional support to enhance their progress within key core subjects (Maths and English). To ensure pupils catch up efficiently, the school wishes to provide pupils with tailored support from a quality Intervention Teacher, to provide booster/intervention sessions to pupils in KS2.

The Role:

  • Ensuring that the pupils you support can engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity.
  • Supporting the social and emotional development of pupils, reporting any issues when required.
  • Supporting the teacher in managing any challenging behaviour and enforcing positive behaviour.
  • Leading small group interventions with a focus on Maths and English.
  • Carrying out administrative duties, such as preparing classroom resources.
  • Very competitive rates of pay!

You will receive full support from the school to deliver set topics to pupils who are not currently achieving their expected grades. Although the topics will be pre-set you will be expected to plan sessions and track progression accordingly. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to have a real impact on pupil’s development and learning.
