Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel

£300 - 350 per week + via PAYE

Are you passionate about the inclusion of young people with special educational needs and disabilities? Are you sporty or from a creative background such as music, art or dance? Then this could be the job for you!

Teaching Personnel are looking for part time and full time Support Workers who love working with children and young people. You will be supporting SEN pupils who are aged 19+ with a range of SEN. The school is based in Chelmsford, Essex.

This setting helps to prepare students for the demands of adult life through staff expertise and specialist approaches. This included providing a nurturing and therapeutic environment that encourages students to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Relevant experience is beneficial, but no experience is necessary. 

Responsibilities can include:

  • Personal Care Support
  • Supporting with trips out
  • Working alongside other staff to provide the best possible care
  • Able to work with groups or 1:1 support within the classroom
  • Supporting pupils with Autism & Learning Difficulties
  • Supervising pupil behaviour
  • Encourage, engage and support pupils with their learning & development.
  • Be able to work both within the school and off site to encourage and support their learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
