Are you looking to make a difference to the young lives of students with Special Educational Needs? Are you confident and looking for a new challenge?

Teaching personnel are currently working alongside a partner college in Hexham (NE45) and are seeking a passionate learning support assistant to join a supportive team.

We are looking for someone who is available full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30 who is eager to start ASAP!

About the role:

  • You will be supporting students aged 16-25 with Autism and other associated difficulties throughout lessons and activities
  • You will be required to assist the teacher in the preparation of work
  • You will encourage students to engage in formal learning situations as well as with self-help skills, life skills and social understanding

What you will need:

  • Experience working with individuals with Autism 
  • Experience with behaviours that challenge
  • Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
  • A caring and confident approach
  • To be available full-time

What we offer:

  • Competitive rates between £382.50 to £412.50 per week
