Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) in a school in Newbury. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups of students
  • Work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to support the needs of students
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide regular updates to the class teacher and SENCO
  • Provide support for students with during school trips and other extracurricular activities

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children 
  • Strong understanding of the needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of individual students
  • Qualification in teaching assistant or related field is preferred but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
