Job Title: Outreach Assistant

Location: Croydon, South London

Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £85 to £95 per day (PAYE)

We are working with specialized SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school located in Croydon, dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to teenagers facing mental health challenges. They are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of their students, helping them achieve their full potential.

The school are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Assistant to join their team. As an Outreach Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teenagers with mental health needs both on and off-site. This position involves working closely with their students to provide them with the necessary guidance, encouragement, and assistance to help them overcome their challenges and succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct off-site visits to public areas to support and engage with students.
  • Carry out home visits as needed to provide support and build positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with school staff to implement individualized support plans.
  • Assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment for students.
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in various educational and extracurricular activities.
  • Foster a supportive and empathetic atmosphere for students to express themselves.
  • Provide transportation to and from various locations using your own vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interactions.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driver's license and access to a car.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and patience when working with teenagers facing mental health challenges.
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and success of students.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
