PE Teacher needed urgently at Sixth Form in South East London.

This PE Teacher role is to start on the 30^th of August 2022 on a 1 Term Parental Leave Cover FTC.

The work pattern for this PE Teacher post will be full time.

If appointed as a PE Teacher you will need to teach BTEC Sports.

You will be expected to plan lessons and assess pupils for BTEC Level 2 and Level 3, Sports & Fitness. In addition to this you will need to attend school meetings, parents' evenings, CPD sessions and inset days.

The salaries for this PE Teacher role will be dependent on experience and qualifications ranging from £29962 to £46285.

The School

An Ofsted rated 'Good' established Sixth Form in the leafy borough of Bexley. Part of a highly successful group of Sixth Forms in South London.

Pupils at the Sixth Form are aged between 16 to 19. Many of the pupils go on to study at Russell Group universities. The Sixth Form offers pupils wide range of both A Level and Vocational courses.

The grounds and surrounding areas have various green playing fields, making this a great school for outdoor activities and PE lessons.

Founded in 1992 the college has since expanded and spread itself across 3 sites, all represent the Catholic faith, upon which it is based.

However, all pupils and staff are welcome to join the Sixth Forms, regardless of cultural/religious background. There is great sense of inclusion and support for all.

Pastoral support is a large part of the Sixth Form's personality too. Staff are regularly encouraged to nurture pupils academically and in their personal attributes.

A state of the art Learning Resources Centre is open for all to use throughout the day.

Other parts of the site include:

• A fitness suite and sports teaching area with modern changing rooms.
• A modern canteen.
• Two media suites with digital editing and recording facilities.
• A recording studio - including mixing, editing and recording facilities.
• A suite of specialist art, design and technology rooms, including two networked suites of Apple Mac computers.
• Four fully equipped science laboratories.
• Numerous dedicated student support areas.
• Eight networked computer rooms.
• A Chaplaincy area including a Chapel and Chapel common room.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified PE Teacher or experienced PE Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained PE Teacher or overseas trained PE Teacher.

• UK QTS or equivalent
• Right to work in the UK
• Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
• Experience of teaching as a PE Teacher in UK schools
