Protocol Education are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for day to day, short term and longer term supply for a Special School in the Nottingham Area.
We are advertising for staff who have experience working with children and young people with Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) for classroom and 1-2-1 activities.
The role will involve supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with their academic studies, as well as helping contribute to their social and emotional development. Due to the nature of the school we are looking for staff who are currently trained in Manual Handling and are comfortable with providing personal cares. Applicants with CPD including Team Teach, Tracheostomy training, Epilepsy training, PEG etc would be preferable, although not essential, and training can be provided.
This is a highly rewarding role where every day will be different. Your role will involve building up strong relationships with learners in order to promote self-confidence and independence, as well as helping young people overcome barriers to learning and upskill for later life.
We are initially looking for staff to cover day to day and short term bookings for the rest of the summer term, with and eye towards long term and permanent positions from the new academic year. We are looking to trial successful candidates immediately.
To apply, please forward a copy of your CV and short covering letter by response. We require that all applicants are eligible to work in the UK, have proofs of ID, Address and also have an enhanced DBS maintained on the update service.
