Primary Tutor


Teaching Personnel are looking for Primary specialist teachers who are interested in working with vulnerable pupils on a 1:1 basis, many who have Special Educational Needs.

Many of our pupils also have anxiety, attachment issues and may be school refusers. We also have referrals for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and do not currently have a school place.

We are looking for compassionate, nurturing Teachers who want to make a difference to these young people and can offer engaging activities to help them re-engage in their education.

Who are we looking for?

  • Compassionate individuals committed to making a difference to vulnerable pupils
  • Nurturing, patient teachers who are committed to their pupils
  • Confident teachers who can deal with challenging behaviour
  • Teachers with an interest or experience in Counselling, Mental health and Wellbeing
  • Fully Qualified Teachers or  unqualified teachers with a minimum of 3 years experience planning and delivering academic work

About the role:

  • Tutoring vulnerable pupils (predominantly those in foster homes or children's residential homes)
  • Planning and delivering your own resources (cross-curricular)
  • Working closely with parents, carers and Local Authority staff
  • Reporting on pupil behaviour, attendance and attainment
  • Completing end of term reports to review the impact of your tutoring
  • Managing challenging behaviour and working with highly anxious and vulnerable individuals
