Primary Teacher

Teaching Personnel are working with a GOOD Primary School in Durham (DH2) who are looking for an experience Key Stage 2 teacher to work within their Y5 class. The role is expected to start after the May half-term and will be ongoing until summer, there is scope for the role to be extended into the next academic year.

About the Role:

• Working in a well-performing Y5 class where pupils respond well to learning and good behaviour
• Working alongside the TA in the class to support pupils where needed with targeted interventions
• Tracking pupil progress against the curriculum with ability to stretch pupil learning according to their individual ability

About the School:

• Primary School based in Durham (DH2)
• The school offers good support for disadvantaged pupils and those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities
• Skilled classroom assistants play a vital and effective role in the education of the schools most needy pupils through individual tuition and teaching in small groups
• Teachers and other leaders are able to check pupil progress at all levels due to an effective tracking system to provide good-quality support for those who fall behind

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification
• Experienced working within a Y5 class
• Ability to stretch pupil learning for different abilities
• Track record of maintaining high attainment
• Hold a Child Only DBS accessible on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
