We are seeking a friendly, professional Teaching Assistant to join the team at one of our partner schools in Bournemouth.

The school is a lovely, Ofsted “Outstanding” provision for primary age pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) barriers to learning. Learning is mainly on a mainstream level and in line with the National Curriculum, meaning specific SEN experience is not required.

The school is easily accessible by public transport and located close to a local farm which is incorporated into the curriculum. The curriculum also features a range of enriching activities such as sports, arts & crafts, forest school and cookery.

What does the role involve?

  • Supporting pupils 1-1, 1-2 and in small groups
  • Helping pupils to access work and activities
  • Supporting the development and wellbeing of pupils
  • Upholding safety and safeguarding

What are we looking for?

  • Relevant experience in a related area
  • A patient, empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
