SEND LSA needed to join an AMAZING Team in a North West London School

WHAT IS A LSA/TA?
A Learning Support Assistant (LSA), often referred to as a Teaching Assistant (TA), is provided to support teachers and pupils in the classroom. LSAs/TAs work with all students, not only those with SEN. LSAs/TAs that work with students with SEN help those students individually to meet the targets set in their Individual Education Plan.

WHAT DOES A LSA/TA DO?
The duties of a LSA/TA working with children with SEN are varied depending on the child's SEN and the type of school that they are working in, to help them with their literacy and numeracy, as well as other tasks. Generally, they will give the child any extra support they require to complete tasks.

LSAs can work 1:1 with a student or with a small group of students. In some schools, there is sometimes also a separate learning support department where LSAs/TAs can work with individuals or small groups away from the classroom on work that complements the work being done in the classroom.

WHAT ARE THE BENFITS FOR YOU?
• Working in large North West London School, where career development is high priority
• Working in a very supportive environment with a team with many years of experience
• Working with students where you can genuinely make a difference
• Local transport links
• Working for the full academic year and the possibility to go on permanent

All applicants must have a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one and 2 satisfactory recent references.
