Reception Teacher:

  • Full time.
  • Mon-Fri.
  • £90-£130 per day.

Teaching personnel has been requested to support a Catholic school in the Preston area to appoint a Reception class Teacher. This is a full-time role working from Monday to Friday working with 2 Teaching Assistants. Therefore, the right candidate will be able to lead, deploy and manage a small team of support staff. This role is set to cover a long-term absence therefore It is for a full term however could continue for longer. For the Catholic primary school practicing Catholic is desirable but not essential.

It is essential that the candidate has experience teaching in either Nursery or a Reception class for two years. Also, that they have the essential knowledge of the EYFS to be able to implement this within the classroom to support and extend children’s development. Knowledge of how to develop lesson plans to support those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.

The school for this role supports both staff and children to reach their full potential and focus heavily on parent partnership to support all of the families that they work with. This school is in a deprived area, with children and families who often struggle and are socially deprived, therefore this school supports the pupils to ensure they have a stable learning environment. Good routines and important to ensure that the pupils have the structure and support they need. Good behaviour management is also necessary for this role.

A nurturing and inspiring teacher who has a love for the Early Years Foundation Stage and wants to make a difference to children’s lives would be a perfect fit for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
