Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Science Technician for our client, a secondary school in Rochdale. The school are looking for both a full-time and part-time technician, who can help support their science department in conducting experiments to both KS3 and KS4 students.

The school

The school is a small mixed co-ed school, who have a most recent Ofsted rating of ‘good’ and are constantly oversubscribed. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving school who are committed to providing each individual student with a first-class education.

The role

You will be joining a close-knit team of 8 in the science department, to assist in the daily running of lessons within the science department. You will be in charge of keeping the stock room tidy, setting up for experiments and assisting students in performing experiments.


  • Previous experience working as a science technician, or in a similar science-based role.
  • Previous experience working with children either professionally or voluntarily
  • Team player
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Passion for science that can be passed on to students
