Learning Mentor (English or Maths)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Protocol Education as a Learning Mentor in either English or Mathematics.

This is a non-teaching post which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people and supporting them in their school life across a number of Secondary schools in Sutton, helping them to access a varied and exciting curriculum.

As a Learning Mentor, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff within the subject area i.e. one of, English or Maths, although you may also be assigned to other subject areas if this supports students' learning and matches with your subject knowledge or skill set.

Ideal candidate:
•You should have excellent IT skills, be well organised and a team player.
•You will have the ability to build effective relationships with students and deal with unexpected situations during the school day.
•You must also be willing to undertake further training.
•You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately.
•Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
