Teaching Personnel are seeking SEMH teaching assistants for a school in Hailsham. Candidates that are Passionate, resilient, and Hardworking will excel in this role and find it very rewarding. The successful TA will be Assisting residents aged 10-17 with complex behavioural difficulties, leading activities in groups of 3-5 alongside more experienced TA’s. Experience working directly with children is essential for this role.

The school aims to care for Residents in a high quality, secure and therapeutic environment. The overarching aim is to encourage residents to develop a range of personal skills, supported by changes in behaviour and attitude that will enable individuals to manage safely and responsibly on exit. Successful candidates will be required to complete QCF Level 3 in residential childcare within 2 years and will be able to access an excellent training package as well as career pathways.
This role requires shift work which can include some weekend work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
